Inspirations & Misc

Here are a few of my go-to online references and favorite food-related books and movies. I love food in all things and there is so much inspiration out there! Find your passion, then get into the kitchen!

Serious Eats

Nom Nom Paleo (I’m not Paleo but she has some excellent recipes so don’t overlook this site!)

Alton Brown with the Food Network has a bunch of great recipes.

Martha Stewart has some great ones too.

Pinterest is a great source of inspiration, food-photo-wise, although the recipes are pretty hit-and-miss so I use it for the photos then hunt down a recipe that sounds work-able.

Pepperplate – This is my favorite website for storing recipes.  It’s super fast to import recipes from websites plus it also has an option to type them in so you can have all of your cookbook and family recipes included too.  There is a place for photos of each recipe.  There is a shopping list feature that adds everything in a recipe to your shopping list.  There is even an app for the iPad and iPhone so you can have this shopping list at the store, and use a tablet or phone in the kitchen while cooking instead of running back and forth to the computer.  It’s super convenient.
